Thanks for liking my work! Your painting was great. I wish I could paint landscapes, but I've always stuck to doing portraits.
I used to love photography AND painting but I got bored of photography a few years ago. So painting is always my favourite

How long have you been painting for? And are you self-taught?

Hey steph,

my real name is Adrien, I never saw Australia, but a friend of mine have just travel this year in Australia, he thought so beautyful but some people in center of country have fear of abroad.

I began painting some year ago, but I was in "class prepa" : 2 years of school in order to enter a Engineer School "Enac". I don't if you have the same system of selection in Australia but during this two years, I had few time to paint.

Now I have more time and I try to improve my technical in drawing. I love Surrealism style but I think every painter have to learn classical Style, like in music, every Musician have to learn the "solferge".

So I try to memorize some classical drawing or painting and try to make the same thing. Problem is that I'm a self-taught and I never know if I'm out of Art or if I really make Art.

I will put a new painting soon

And you ? Are you in a Art School ?

You should definitely come to Australia some time. It is very hot right now as it is almost Summer. There is a heat wave. But I prefer winter and rain

I'm a fan of surrealism too. Do you know Salvador Dali? He had an exhibition in my city a while ago and I went. It was so amazing.
I'm self-taught too, I have been painting and drawing since I was 2 years old. I just graduated from high school a few weeks ago, and I will be going to university next year but sadly not for art. I would love to pursue art as a career but it is very difficult. But it will always be my passion

I love your new painting! Light reflections look stunning in cityscapes. It must be hard to paint a picture without a photograph and just to rely on memory?
